Vin De Syrah

This is my last quarter at The Art Institute of California - San Diego and one of the classes I'm taking is called Senior Project 2. For this particular class we must create or extend on a current project.

When the quarter started in April, I was interning with this great wine and spirits bar called Vin De Syrah, unfortunately I wasn't meeting the requirements for my internship class so I couldn't continue with them. I had such a great time working, I wanted to do my senior project with Vin De Syrah.

My senior project was to create a marketing plan with collateral materials, so I made the following press kit for Vin De Syrah: company bio, fact sheet and VIP service. The operations manager really liked what I created and hopefully she'll use it for future reference.

Miss you McQueen

Recently I've been web window shopping at Neiman Marcus and peeked at their current designer list. I saw that McQueen was still listed and that's when it really hit me that he's no longer around. I'm not going to say I was his biggest fan, but I did enjoy his collections.

Alexander McQueen was a British Fashion Designer, a visionary for his British Designers counterparts. Lady Gaga, Rihanna, celebrites just loved him and the fashion world looked forward to his future collections to see what he would create next. Now gone, nothing can replace the mark he made in the Fashion Industry.

McQueen, you're missed greatly. Friends of mine still post pictures of celebrities wearing your clothing on their Facebook, writing McQueen ♥. The following images below are from his current collection at Neiman Marcus.

Hello fellow bloggers!

I've tapped into every major social media outlet, in chronological order, Livejournal, Xanga, Myspace, Facebook, Twitter and Gowalla. The only one I haven't started is a blog. Well I guess I can't say that's entirely true. I started a blogger account and it was gathering cyber dust, why not put it to use? So here I am putting my thoughts, nicely organized, for you to read.

This blog will consist of fashion, updates on my life and anything I hear that's worth sharing. I'm a fan of pop culture and guilty of keeping up with celebrity gossip. On the other hand, I geek out and read technology and video game blogs.

I am an aspiring fashion publicist, currently interning at J Public Relations, a luxury lifestyle public relations firm. The experience is worth more than a simple day job and I am determined to move up to become a junior publicist at a fashion pr company.

I know it's a short...As I continue to post, I hope you enjoy reading my blog, just as much as I enjoy writing it.
