High End Victoria

It's always exciting to see Victoria's Secret's models receiving high end fashion photo shoots. Recently Miranda Kerr can be found on the cover of Vogue Italia and Vogue España September Issue. España Sept issue has a beautiful 10-page editorial of Miranda and Italia has an odd 3D cover of her. This post isn't about Miranda, it's about the other Victoria's Secret model, Alessandra Ambrosio, she will be found in October 10 Vogue Nippon 12-page editorial. It's quite the change for these lovely ladies modeling lingerie to Philip Treacy.

The models do a beautiful job in their photographs. If the high-end gig doesn't work out, they can always go back to Victoria. Who said change is bad?

SHOES!

Yes...video game shoes. I'm in love. I would never wear them, but have them nicely displayed in my house. These beauties were designed by UK designer, Daniel Reese and can be bought around $320 (USD) and up. Check out more Nike shoes here or on Daniel's website: BRASS MONKI

Primetime Emmys Roundup

Now that the Emmys night has concluded, here is my roundup post. We all know that Emmy's is big for their Red Carpet Fashion, but you really cannot forget the show either. This year's Emmys was very entertaining! Oh my did you see that opening number? One word: Amazing!

I would like to congratulate the BIG winners of last night's Emmys!
1. Jane Lynch for her win in Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series! No one else can play Sue Sylvester like you! Go Glee!

2. Modern Family for their win in Outstanding Comedy Series. I love the cast they work so well together. If you haven't seen an episode you should, it's pretty great!

LOST was robbed of some awards for sure. No wins for Ben or Jack!? BS! Conan didn't win Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy series either?! BS!

Lastly loved the Red Carpet outfits, I'm sure you'll see the photos everywhere, here are my Top Favs:

Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta
When does she not look fabulous on the Red Carpet? I don't think she's had a Red Carpet Bomb yet! Beautiful!

January Jones in Versace
I don't know why, but people on Yahoo hated this. I couldn't disagree more! She wanted to break away from her Retro Mad Men look and it worked in my book!

Jayma Mays in Burberry
LOVE HER. OMG she looked gorgeous!

Jane Lynch in Ali Rahami
Purple was hot on the Red Carpet! Jane is stunning in this dress

Neil Patrick Harris in Calvin Klein
He's pretty hilarious in How I Met Your Mother, he is looking rather dashing in his suit :)

Sarah Hyland in Pamella Roland
Her silk gown fits perfectly, loved her accessories!

Emily Deschanel in Max Azria Atelier
I don't watch Bones, but my roommate does! I know he can appreciate the graceful details of this purple gown!

Tracy Morgan
Last, but not least Tracy Morgan...man you silly!

Editorial Sunday

I decided to go a different route and bug out for this Editorial Sunday. This isn't from any magazine that I own, but from a portfolio site that I came across when using Stumbleupon.com. This combines sci-fi elements with the grace of fashion, its as if District 9 placed an editorial in Elle or Vogue. You don't need to find great editorials in magazines. Sometimes you can find them online on their portfolio sites, you just gotta look. Check it!

Travel Wishes

One of my favorite things to do is Travel. I love exploring new places even if I've been there before. I can say I got that trait from my parents when I was younger we traveled A LOT around the west coast of the US, the farthest east of the US I've been is Nashville and I've been to the Philippines twice. I go back to Washington every few months and find a new place I haven't been to yet. Now that I recently graduated, I have an urge to travel and explore my surroundings, but I can't do that quite yet. The number one place I want to visit first is DUBAI.

1) Dubai

I cannot explain how magnificent this place is! Dubai is located in United Arab Emirates (UAE) along the the coast of the Persian Gulf. The amazing architecture, the hotels and the culture makes me want to pack my bags and head off to Dubai right now. At one point I wanted to learn Arabic, so there wouldn't be a language barrier, but it's difficult to find a school that teaches it. Some notable landmarks of Dubai include: The Burj Al Arab, The World, The Palm Trilogy and Burj Khalifa.

The Burj Al Arab is a 5 star luxury hotel with amazing features. The World are man-made islands (retail and housing purposes) complied to form to illustrate the world. The Palm Trilogy is a set of residential/business development off the shore of Dubai that creates a palm silhouette. Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world, complied of housing, retail and business space.

Happy Sunday everyone! It's a gorgeous day in Southern California because of that I picked an editorial that focuses on summer apparel! Shot by Patrick Demarchelier, has a natural eye for beautiful photographs! If he ever decided to sell a book with his fashion photography I would buy it in a heartbeat! Editorial Sunday is from May 2008 UK Vogue, 3 words to describe are: girly, chic and bohemian. Check it! My favorite is Photograph #3
