Netflix for Clothes!

Really people, Twitter is an amazing thing. Following people with similar interests as yourself can lead to new and fun people or businesses. I follow Grace Styling (@GraceStyling) and one of their recent tweets was "@RentTheRunway Fabulous! We are huge RTR fans!"

Curious, I discovered Rent the Runway. Rent designer clothing up to 90% off the retail price. Started by two Harvard students, closely working with boutiques and designers to provide women with their dream designer wardrobe. Rent the Runway is based in NYC and features a total of 98 (and growing list) of designers in both apparel and accessories.

Signing up is absolutely free, you can rent out dresses and accessories for 4 days or 8 days, return shipping is free, and the clothing is shipped with a 100% fresh seal of approval from their luxury dry cleaner. If Rent the Runway gets a hint of the dress being worn-out they immediately retire it from their collection. If you spill your cocktail on the dress, they have a $5 insurance cover, so no need to worry, they handle all the dry cleaning for the apparel.

Here's a list of a few designers that are a part of the Rent the Runway family: Alice + Olivia, Badgley Mischaka & Jewelry, Catherine Malandrino, Christian Siriano, Diane von Furstenberg, Just Cavalli, Matthew Williamson, Nina Ricci, Proenza Schouler, Rachel Leigh, See by Chloe and theory.

Now women can afford their dream designer wardrobe. Seriously it's like Netflix for Fashion, rent it for a couple of days and then send back in the mail the next day. Awesome. I think I will Rent a Christian Siriano dress for my boyfriend's Art School graduation celebration in December.
